OFF THE WALL
Vans is a well known skate/clothing company that started up in 1966. Their logo says “off the wall” displaying that they work with active individuals like ones who specially skateboard, because as you should know, skating happens anywhere, not just the ground. They are known more around the 70s skateboarding theme, and now surfing, and BMX(bikes) as well.
Over the past years they have become more, and more acknowledged along with new store openings, the main reason for that being, their shoes. They have different types of shoes like slip ons, or all climate/weather shoes that are comfy, and come with good grip to hold you in place. The slips ons became trendy over the past two years so, if you came across checkered shoes it’s most likely by Vans.
It’s easy to come across or find if you want a pair of shoes or their apparel yourself. They have a website which allows you to customize shoes, backpacks, and more. You can order to your house or straight to one of their stores for pickup. They also host events like competitions where they bring sponsored skaters to their parks. Another event they’re famously known for is, “Vans Warped Tour” where bands such as, Simple Plan, Bowling for Soup, All Time Low, and more come to perform.
